Fitness

Get in the gym!

In 6 months the two of us have hit the gym 99% of days we've been at work. Others in the office have joined us and shared interesting ideas for fitness and we've all watched each other improve. It's a great environment and great motivation each day to push ourselves and learn both mentally and physically.

Diet is a huge part of this. I have personally dramatically increased the amount of healthy food I've been eating as I'm trying to bulk/lean up while others are trying to slim down...Currently my daily goals for consumption are over 3100 calories and at least 220 grams of protein. I'm in better shape than I ever was in the Air Force and look better too...I'm 6'4" and have been maintaining around 200 lbs, but lost an inch in the waist and increased chest and biceps (though I never measured so not totally sure how much). This is a pretty good breakdown of getting to know your proteins.

The motivation and confidence lifting has brought into my life has been amazing. I have been reading Arnold's autobiography and it discussed a lot of how it challenges your mind to work through pain as well as push yourself beyond that which you think you're capable.

So for now, here's a quick article from Arnold's site. He's starting as Executive Editor of Muscle and Fitness...and getting back into what he loved doing in the first place. Here's the article this photo is from: fhttp://www.schwarzenegger.com/fitness/post/there-is-no-maybe

  1. How come I haven't heard from you for a long time. I followed you in DeviantArt, 7 years later. How have you been?
